Vintage Industrial Bar is located in the area of the former button factory at Savska cesta 160 in Zagreb. For many years, this club has been one of the most famous venues in Zagreb, where various programs are held throughout the year. The button factory became the perfect place for various concerts, stand-up shows, theater performances, quizzes and film screenings. The club space extends to 550m2 and is divided into three parts, the central part, where is 20-meter long wooden bar, the middle seating area and the concert area, where is a stage with a top-quality RCF audio system and a backstage. Vintage Industrial Bar is among the favorite places of many musicians and fans of good sound, and we are proud to have had the opportunity to design and implement a new audio system for the needs of the central and middle part of the club.
In order to provide their guests with the best possible audio experience even outside the concert part of the club, the client decided to change the outdated passive audio system in the central and middle part of club. Consequently, we were asked to provide a solution for changing the audio system. After inspecting the space, we started with coverage calculations and designing solutions. We presented the client with three versions of the new audio system based on RCF components, as well as all the advantages and disadvantages of each solution. After the presentation, the client client has selected an active RCF audio system made of TT+ series, and we soon began implementing the solution.
For Vintage sound system needs we have implemented RCF TT 22-A II active two-way speakers. These active speakers consist of a 12″ neodymium woofer and 1.4″ output compression driver, delivering crystal clear sound in a durable Baltic birch plywood enclosure. With 1100 W of power, fly-track rigging points, built-in RDNet control and carefully crafted acoustic design, this loudspeaker was the perfect solution. The sound of the mentioned boxes is completed with the TTS 15-A subwoofer solution. TTS 15-A is a compact high-output subwoofer, ideal in combination with TT+ two-way systems. Its 15” woofer is driven by a 1100 W RMS Class D SMPS amplifier with full DSP and RDNet networking capabilities. The client’s special wish was to protect the subwoofer and mount it in a place where it will not disturb the guests and where they will be protected from spilled drinks. For this reason, we designed and mounted the TTS 15-A subwoofers on hanging brackets that are placed under the ceiling on arches between the central and middle seating area. In the central area next to the bar, a TT 10-A active speaker with a rotating horn 10”+1” is mounted, which actually also serves as a “monitoring” above the DJ desk. The entire system is controlled via RDNet, and to make this possible, we implemented the RDNet Control 2 hardware USB interface. RDNet Control 2 enables management of two subnets where up to 32 devices can be connected per subnet. Along with the new audio system, new cabling for the system was laid. The entire assembly of the new audio system was done extremely quickly, and the client is very satisfied with delivered solution.
