Clients: Aquarium Pula d.o.o.

Project date: June 2023.

Project type: Video,

Aquarium Pula is the largest and most visited aquarium in Croatia. It is located in the 130-year-old Austro-Hungarian fortress Verudela on the Pula peninsula of the same name. Since 2002, Fort Verudela has been in the process of being converted into an aquarium, so today, instead of soldiers, the fort is home to various types of animals. The aquarium displays in a unique way the wealth of flora and fauna of various seas, primarily the Adriatic. The goal of Aquarium Pula is to show the beauty and diversity of underwater life and to bring the nature conservation issue closer to the general public. This is exactly what they do through various projects, especially through the department of the Wild Animal Rehabilitation Center and the Center for the Recovery of Sea Turtles that operate within the Pula Aquarium. As part of the project “Improvement of the recovery center for wild animals in the Pula Aquarium”, the aquarium wants to bring the issue of animal protection and biodiversity closer to its visitors through further investments.

Project description

We are very proud to have participated in this project through the solution design and implementation of multimedia equipment for displaying various interactive content and projections. With the delivery and installation of equipment and implementation of software, Aquarium Pula got a new permanent educational exhibition related to the recovery of sea turtles.

Through a combination of projections and interactive screens, visitors of aquarium are provided with additional education on the recovery of sea turtles, with methods of care and insight into the way of turtles life. For the purposes of projecting educational as well as decorative materials of the exhibition, we used laser projectors VUE2 VIN-U6A-S and Christie Captiva DWU500S, which we mounted on Edbak PMV400, PM3 and XPMV200W projector supports. We mounted the Iiyama 65” interactive screen on the Edbak EWB200 screen support. On this screen, visitors have the opportunity to start the Sea Turtle Rescue game, through which they will surely learn more about the protection and recovery process. In order to make the exhibition as interactive as possible, we also delivered interactive freestanding screens 2 x Strong 55” and Karisma 43”. The free-standing interactive screens of the Portuguese manufacturer Parttteam & Oemkiosks were very well visually integrated into the exhibition space. On them, visitors can learn more about the effect of sea warming on turtles, but also to play a multiplayer game. All the equipment was procured and installed in a short time and the client is very satisfied with the implemented solution.

We invite you to learn something new about animal protection, and to visit and inspect all the exhibits of Aquarium Pula.
