Project description

In order to provide their clients with high-quality audio equipment, Studio Live decided to invest in upgrading their range. In search of the best solution, they turned to us and we delivered RCF HDL 50-A 4K active 3-way line array sound boxes for large events and RCF SUB 9007-AS 2×21″ active subwoofer sound boxes, which together form a perfect combination. The HDL 50-A 4K has a sound pressure level of 143 dB SPL with a built-in 8000 W PEAK, 4000 W RMS Class-D four-channel amplifier. It offers excellent reproduction quality ideal for professional applications. With its 90 x 10 degree 4PATH symmetrical housing design, it provides optimal space coverage. RCF SUB 9007-AS is one of the most powerful 2×21″ subwoofers in professional use. It features two 21-inch high-power hyper-vented neodymium woofers with 4.0-inch inner and outer voice coils. With the help of a 7200 W digital amplifier, the SUB 9007-AS can work in the most demanding situations. For easier management and connection of the system, we also delivered the RCF RDNet Control 8 system for monitoring and control in real time. Control 8 can manage up to 256 devices connected in a bus or up to 128 devices in a ring topology. Delivers all collected device data to the sound engineer via USB in a local installation or via Ethernet from remote locations. The Control 8 interface can be directly connected to the DSP of each module via the exclusive RDNet protocol, which allows addressing by individual lines or groups, system optimization and modification of settings in real time. The key point of RDNet Control 8 is actually to ensure the minimum refresh time of the performance of all system data, such as RMS signal, compressor activity, temperature, fan speed, warnings, etc. Communication between Control 8 and sound boxes can also be achieved through xlr connectors that allow system management on traditional multicore cables. RCF FL-B HDL 50 “fly bar” elements and RCF KRT-WH 4X transport carts were delivered for assembly and easier transfer of the system. In order for the system to function without problems even in difficult conditions, we also delivered RCF RP 1X HDL 50 rain protection.
The equipment soon had its premiere at Nina Badrić’s concert in Arena Zagreb, held in March 2020.
