Pixelhue P10 and P20 presentation switches

Pixelhue P10 and P20 represent the latest generation of compact professional 4K presentation switchers designed for the most demanding needs of real-time production. Pixelhue in P10 and P20 combines video processing, signal source management as well as display control in one system that is adapted to the challenges of modern productions.

They are based on FPGA architecture and real time 4K60 4:4:4 image processing and offer a wide range of inputs including HDMI, DP 1.2 and 12G-SDI and the possibility of optical 10G fiber out output, which allows easy integration into existing AV and broadcast systems.

The devices are not classic video switchers, they are the central point of visual content management where a combination of multiple inputs (processors, cameras,...), layer compositing and LED output control is required. Both models enable an advanced layer-based workflow that enables combining multiple video sources in real time. They support up to 12 layers simultaneously (P20), which enables the creation of complex scenes, live graphics, the production of overlay elements and dynamic presentations without the need for additional external devices.

They support two modes of operation, such as presentation switcher and PGM only mode, dynamic range conversion, advanced DSK capabilities (chroma key and luma key), transition effects such as gradual appearance or dimming. Devices can store up to 128 presets for quick and easy recall, and live visual display of input and output connector status is supported.

Differences between Pixelhue P10 and Pixelhue P20

Although they share almost the same architecture and work philosophy, the P10 and P20 are intended for different levels of production complexity. Pixelhue P10 is used for smaller professional conferences, on smaller and medium-sized event productions, i.e. with standard LED video walls. On the other hand, Pixelhue P20 is intended for larger live event productions, broadcast or television studios and complex multi-screen video walls, and the difference is not only in the number of input and output connectors, but also in processing power, redundancy and image processing capabilities.
P20 has almost twice the processing capacity, which allows it to have up to 12 layers (including MAIN and PIP layers at the same time), while the P10 supports up to 6 layers. P20 in P20-DS Dante version enables 12G-SDI audio embedding and deembedding, redundant Dante network 32x32, AES67 compatibility and audio routing between all inputs and outputs.

PixelFlow control workflow

Device management of your video system, is possible via the PixelFlow software platform or via external live controllers such as the Pixelhue U5 Mini, U5 and U5 Pro devices. This approach allows operators to work more easily in real time with full control over layers, presets and transitions, which is crucial in live productions.
