The Sinj Alkar knightly society was founded in 1715, and today it operates as a citizens’ association. The main activity of the Society is the maintenance of the knightly game of Sinjska alka. As a project partner, knightly society took part in the construction of the Sinjska alka interpretation and education center. The center was creatively designed as part of the comprehensive project Sinj u sridu. The goal of the project is to enable visitors to experience Sinjska alka in an indirect way throughout year, through a rich program of interpretation of cultural heritage. Thus, through the implementation of the project itself, the Viteško Alkarsko društvo Sinj will encourage a stronger valorization of the intangible cultural heritage and enable the maintenance of year-round interpretive and educational content at the Hippodrome connected with the event itself, which is already an established and recognizable Sinj brand.
During the implementation of the project, we were contacted by the client in order to offer our solution for the needs of equipping the riding hall with video equipment. The client’s wish was to bring the experience of the demonstration-presentation program and live simulation of the Alkar competition closer to the spectators in the stands who are following the program at that moment. As a solution, we proposed two AVALED TS-IF4 EK LED screens of size 3.84 x 1.92 with a total area of 5.5 m2 and a pixel pitch of 4 mm. The screens are composed of panels with dimensions of 960 x 960 x 94 mm, resolution 240 x 240. The density of LEDs (SMD 3in1 SDM 2020) per m2 is 57600. For control and easier management of the screen, we also proposed two NOVASTAR VX4 Full HD LED Display video controller. The VX4 is a professional LED display controller that with excellent picture quality and flexible control greatly meets the needs of broadcasting. The equipment met all the criteria to our satisfaction and the satisfaction of the client, and the installation itself was soon completed.
